Trinity Health Center Info Meeting

The heartbeat of compassionate healthcare at the DeSoto County Dream Center is Trinity Health Center. Serving as a lifeline for the working uninsured, Trinity is a primary care facility operating on a sliding scale, ensuring access to vital medical services for all.
You are invited to join us for an informational volunteer meeting on Monday, May 6th at 5:30 pm, at Trinity Health Center (located inside the Dream Center.) Teacher Appreciation
Teacher Appreciation Day: Spread the Love - Wednesday, 5/8
Let's show our appreciation for the educators and staff in DeSoto County! Volunteer with us on Wednesday, May 8th from 9 am to 3 pm as we pack gift bags for approximately 5000 school staff members. Light the Way Music Festival
LIGHT THE WAY MUSIC FESTIVAL
The DESOTO COUNTY DREAM CENTER is honored to lead volunteers at the Light the Way Music Festival at the Olive Branch City Park on July 5th and 6th!

Backpack Giveaway
We are excited to host a backpack and school supply giveaway on July 13th for 1,500 children from Title One Schools. Each student with the help of a shopper will have the opportunity to fill their backpack with school supplies and have a prayer partner say a prayer blessing for them as they begin the new school year. Hot dogs, chips, bounce house fun, sno cones and other games for the kids will be available at the event.
We need over 170 volunteers to run this fun event!

Winter Wonderland
Winter Wonderland 2023
We will be hosting families from the Dream Center as well as other families in our community. This will be a time for the entire family to come together and celebrate the season. During Winter Wonderland, the parents wrap the donated gifts, the children make crafts, and the families eat while hearing the story about Jesus’ birth.
This event will be held at the DeSoto County Dream Center on Saturday, December 9th from 8am-2:30pm.
We would love to have you join us in blessing over 120 families this holiday season. Volunteers are needed in areas such as setup, checkin, childcare, crafts, wrapping, Elf guides, food, and tear down. Click here to volunteer for this event.

Thanksgiving Giveaway
Thanksgiving 2023
The Dream Center is giving away 300 fried turkeys and meals to families that are struggling to put food on their table this year.
We will be preparing for this event on Monday and Tuesday, November 20th and 21st. It will take over 100 volunteers all-day Wednesday (November 22nd) to fry turkeys, and pack and distribute food boxes while praying for the families. This event will take place at the Dream Center, if you would like to volunteer, click here.

Spooktacular
The Dream Center is excited to participate in Halloween Spooktacular at Latimer Lakes again this year! We were able to bring home the trophy last year and hope to do it again! Our theme is SUPERHEROES! Volunteers are needed to help pass out candy from our tent. If you aren’t able to volunteer but would like to be a part, you are welcome to drop off donations of candy at the Dream Center! School Support Volunteer Interest Meeting
INTEREST MEETING: WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 27TH FROM 5PM-5:30PM AT THE DREAM CENTER.
We have several exciting ways the Dream Center is supporting schools in DeSoto County. As we have developed a relationship with the administration and teachers we have found many areas we can offer support. The Dream Center is starting new outreaches this school year to begin to meet more needs of families in our community. By doing this, teachers are able to focus more on teaching when they know the students’ needs are being met. Our goal is for students to be able to focus on learning. We do this by helping provide clean clothing, school supplies and weekend meals to students in need. We also serve as “PTO” for several local schools that do not have the support they need. We invite you to come to this meeting if you would like more information on being a volunteer with any of these outreaches!

The Dream Center serves our community through an Emergency Needs Closet. Part of this closet is a food pantry where families and individuals in crisis can get enough food to help them through and emergency situation. SMILE Again
SMILE Again is a free, one-day dental event organized by the DeSoto County Dream Center and Advanced Dental Implant and TMJ Center for those 18 and older without dental care living in the North Mississippi area.
We have many opportunities to serve as a volunteer on August 18th. Volunteer areas include check-in, prayer team, dental and medical volunteers, and others. This event will take place at Advanced Dental Implant and TMJ Center.

Education Champion Orientation
At the Dream Center, we call our education volunteers champions because we believe every child deserves a champion. A champion is an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection, and insists that they become the best that they can possibly be.
You’re invited to attend our Education Champion Orientation at the DeSoto County Dream Center on August 17th at 5:30. If you have served with us previously or just want information about volunteering with the program, this is for you!
During our time together on August 17th, we look forward to sharing how each program night runs and the “why” behind the education program. Attendance at this event will help you be prepared for a successful experience with our students. This is not a commitment to serve, it is just a great opportunity to get information.
