Adopt-A-Block

The goal of Adopt-A-Block is to build relationships and the key to success is consistency. When Adopt-A-Block launches at a specific location, it is a promise to the community that we will be here to serve for years to come. Our commitment to the community will speak louder than anything else.

This outreach allows immediate needs of individuals to be met on a consistent basis leading to valuable relationships and a brighter future for DeSoto County. Meeting the immediate needs of the community is the fastest way to build relationships and gain influence to speak into someone’s potential. Immediate needs of the community may include: food, clothing, activities for children, and picking up trash.

Get Involved

Adopt-A-Block (AAB) is more than just an event—it’s a commitment to show up consistently, build lasting relationships, and serve our neighbors with compassion. It takes a team to fulfill this commitment and be present each month. There are many ways to partner with us in making this ministry possible.

Ways You Can be a Part of Loving our Community:

  • Help load supplies before the event

  • Grill or serve food at the block party

  • Lead games and activities for kids

  • Assist with clothing or food distribution

  • Simply show up with a smile and a heart to serve!

There’s a place for everyone to make a difference. Whether you have a few hours to give or want to get involved long-term, your presence matters. Learn more and register to serve on our Volunteer Page or email us at info@desotodreamcenter.org.
