Adopt-A-Block is a monthly outreach of the DeSoto County Dream Center where volunteers serve in designated locations throughout underserved communities in DeSoto County. At each outreach, volunteers host a block party, share a meal with families, and build meaningful relationships with neighbors.

By consistently showing up in these neighborhoods, we create ongoing opportunities to cultivate community, support families, and meet immediate needs. These regular gatherings allow our Dream Team to build trust and walk alongside individuals and families toward brighter futures.

We believe that meeting immediate needs is one of the most effective ways to build relationships and gain the opportunity to speak into someone’s potential.

The goal of Adopt-A-Block is simple: build lasting relationships. The key to success is consistency. When Adopt-A-Block launches in a neighborhood, it is a promise to the community that we will be there for years to come.
