DeSoto County DreamCenter expands reach with new Olive Branch campus

Aiming to bring essential services closer to those who need them most, the DeSoto County Dream Center is constructing a permanent facility in Olive Branch to serve the eastern side of the county. For years, the nonprofit has operated primarily out of Horn Lake, serving local families through four main pillars: food, clothing, education and healthcare. Dream Center honors thousands of DeSoto County educators during Teacher Appreciation Week

Before the gifts ever reached a teacher’s hands, volunteers filled rooms inside the DeSoto County Dream Center with stacks of books, gift bags, restaurant cards and boxes marked for schools across the county.

By Thursday, those boxes were being unloaded at Horn Lake Intermediate School, one stop in a countywide Teacher Appreciation Week outreach designed to recognize the people who help carry the daily work of education far beyond the classroom.

Each appreciation gift included “The Maxwell Daily Reader” by John C. Maxwell, along with a restaurant gift card and message of encouragement for educators and school staff.

The DeSoto County Dream Center prepared 5,046 appreciation gifts this year for school employees across DeSoto County, including teachers, administrators, bus drivers, cafeteria workers, custodial staff and others who support students each day. (Read Full Article)

Sixth-annual DeSoto Wings and Ribs Competition Festival raises money for Dream Center’s Olive Branch location

Baptist DeSoto gifts more than $11,000 to Trinity Health Center

Southaven, Miss., April 11, 2025 Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto donated more than $11,000 to Trinity Health Center in Horn Lake, Mississippi.
