Expanding Hope: Opening the Doors to Dream Center Olive Branch
The renovations are complete, the moving boxes have been unpacked, and the Dream Center has officially moved into our new Dream Center Olive Branch building!
Over the past several months, our team has spent countless hours dreaming, planning, and preparing this new campus to become a place where neighbors can find support, encouragement, and practical resources during difficult seasons of life. While we're excited about the renovated building, what excites us most is what will happen inside it, the relationships that will be built, the needs that will be met, and the lives that will be impacted for years to come.
In the coming weeks, we'll celebrate this milestone with a Business Breakfast and ribbon-cutting event, inviting local businesses to join us in expanding services across DeSoto County. We'll also welcome volunteers for a special sneak peek before officially opening our doors to the community.
Dream Center Olive Branch is more than a second location. It represents an opportunity to reach more families, strengthen community partnerships, and bring hope closer to home for thousands of our neighbors. Every aspect of the renovation was designed with people in mind, creating welcoming spaces that promote dignity, foster relationships, and provide opportunities for meaningful connection.
So what does expansion look like?
We're still the same Dream Center with the same mission, values, and heart for serving our community. This new campus simply allows us to do more of what God has already equipped us to do.
This fall, we plan to launch Education Programming serving 40 students and open the Emergency Needs Closet, increasing access to food and support to families on the eastern side of the county without requiring them to travel across DeSoto County for assistance. We plan to extend our DREAM Backpack Program to more schools in Olive Branch, helping ensure that more students have food and snacks to take home over the weekend so no child has to wonder where their next meal is coming from.
In addition, we are working to deepen partnerships with schools throughout eastern DeSoto County by expanding DREAM Closets, providing students with access to clothing, hygiene products, and other basic necessities that help promote dignity and remove barriers to learning.
Expanding these existing initiatives to reach more neighbors throughout the county is only the beginning. We believe God is opening doors for us to cultivate deeper relationships, meet practical needs, and share the love of Christ in new and meaningful ways throughout DeSoto County.
But we cannot do it alone.
This expansion is possible because of faithful volunteers, generous donors, committed church partners, and businesses that believe in the mission of the Dream Center. Since opening our first location in 2020, you have been the hands and feet that have made every meal served, every child supported, and every family encouraged possible.
As we launch this new campus, we need your partnership more than ever.
We need volunteers to help sustain existing programs in Horn Lake while launching new opportunities in Olive Branch. We need financial partners willing to invest in the long-term impact of this campus. We need advocates who will help spread the word and invite others to join the mission.
Most of all, we need people who believe that every neighbor deserves to dream again.
Thank you for walking alongside us as we take this exciting step forward. Together, we are not simply opening a building, we are expanding opportunities for transformation across DeSoto County. We invite you to celebrate with us, learn more about the vision, and connect with us to discover how you can be part of this next chapter.
