A Letter From The Executive Director, Jenna Kern

Over the past few months, I’ve had so many moments where I’ve stopped and thought, this is why we do what we do.
The faces. The conversations. The quiet moments where you realize something small made a really big difference.
Earlier this year, we shared our Impact Report, and while it’s full of amazing numbers, what I see behind every number is a story. A child who has food for the weekend. A mom who can finally breathe because she found help. A student who starts to believe, maybe I can do this.
That’s the kind of impact you’re part of.
Because of you, thousands of meals are going out to students who would otherwise go hungry on the weekends. Children are walking into the DREAM Closet and leaving with dignity. Families are leaving the ENC with hope and sustenance. Students are gaining confidence through education and leadership programs. And neighbors who have gone without healthcare are finally being seen and cared for.
It’s real. And it matters. And, the need is still growing.
Every day, we meet families who are doing everything they can just to keep up. Students who are trying to learn while carrying burdens no child should have to carry. Parents who are working hard but still struggling to provide the basic necessities for their family.
And that’s why we’re stepping forward in faith to open our DeSoto County Dream Center Olive Branch campus.
This new campus isn’t just an expansion, it’s an opportunity to extend that same impact to even more neighbors. More backpacks filled. More families served. More students supported. More lives changed.
More hope.
But here’s the part I want to share with you personally…
The kind of impact you see in our report - the steady, day-to-day work of meeting real needs - doesn’t happen by accident. It happens because of people who choose to show up consistently.
That’s why monthly giving matters so much.
It’s what keeps backpacks of food going out every single week.
It’s what keeps the Dream Closet stocked with essentials.
It’s what allows us to say “yes” when a family walks through our doors and needs help right then.
It creates stability in a world that feels really unstable for a lot of families.
So I want to personally invite you, would you consider becoming a monthly partner?
Whether it’s $25, $50, or $100 a month, your generosity directly fuels the impact you’ve just read about and helps ensure we can continue meeting needs without hesitation.
Because when needs are met, hope is restored.
And when hope is restored, lives begin to change.
Thank you for being part of this with us. Truly.
We couldn’t do this without you. Together, we are helping our neighbors not just get by, but begin to dream again.
P.S. If you’ve ever wondered if your consistent giving really makes a difference, it does. It’s the reason we can keep showing up, every single day, for families who need it most.
