Q3: Praises & Prayer Requests

Trinity Health Center - We praise God for the continued health and progress of our patients. This week, we had the opportunity to see one of our breast cancer patients who is now 20 months post-chemo and mastectomy and doing well. We are grateful for the opportunity to walk alongside patients through difficult seasons and celebrate moments of healing and hope.

Emergency Needs Closet - One of our biggest praises is how quickly we have been able to build an amazing team of volunteers for the new Olive Branch Emergency Needs Closet. Their willingness to serve has helped us open our doors and meet practical needs in our community.

We are also seeing continued excitement and momentum from businesses and organizations throughout Olive Branch. Several organizations have reached out simply because they want to learn more about the Dream Center or to let us know how excited they are that we are here. We are thankful for the relationships that are beginning to form throughout the community.

Adopt-A-Block - We have also seen something beautiful happen among our volunteers. Several volunteers serving through Adopt-A-Block and the Emergency Needs Closet have formed new friendships and are now spending time together outside of their service at the Dream Center. We love seeing relationships grow through serving together and watching our Dream Center community become a true community.

DREAM Learners - During recent interviews, we learned about two girls whose reading levels have increased by five levels. We also heard about two boys who are now earning 100s on their assignments.

But the numbers tell only part of the story.

One of those boys now wants to read, something that was not true before. Another has gained so much confidence that he is now helping his fellow students.

We also learned about another student whose reading and grades have improved significantly and she has made the honor roll twice.

We have so much to praise God for!

Prayer Requests

Trinity Health Center - Please pray for Trinity Health Center as our patient numbers continue to grow each month. 

Pray that uninsured residents of DeSoto County will hear about Trinity, know that care is available to them, and take the step toward receiving the healthcare they need.

Emergency Needs Closet - Please pray that more neighbors in Olive Branch will learn about the Emergency Needs Closet and feel comfortable walking through our doors for help. We want to reach the families and individuals in our community who need the resources we have available.

Pray for the Emergency Needs Closet in Horn Lake, where we are currently in need of food to continue serving our neighbors.

Adopt-A-Block - With only one month remaining in this year's Adopt-A-Block season, please pray that our volunteers will continue to connect with and serve families throughout our community. 

Pray that we would reach the people who need help, build meaningful relationships and be a source of hope in each neighborhood we visit.

Dream Center Community - Above all, please pray that God would continue to open doors for the Dream Center to reach people throughout DeSoto County. Pray for the families we serve, the volunteers who give their time, and the donors
